This is a poem about one of my characters... Hermes Silvertongue, my darling, my precious.
Anyway, yeah. It's one of my better poems, so enjoy! :)

black luster
feathers of true ebon glory
dusted with fine silk shine
sits in the bough of an oak

how would you look with leaves twined
through thy hair?
ivy vines to grace thy arms
and crimson blossoms to kiss thy fingers

an apple, of vert colour
entices you, its tartness
makes it more worthy
for your teeth

swallowed up by the forest perhaps
and spit back out better than new
covered in fruit
unseen by all

would you sing for your dinner?
i think not
the children were throwing stones at you
and that would make it sweeter for them

nymphs attend you
will you dance with me
my love?
you dance in the moonlight, unseen by all

instead, you will reach
(can you?)
stretch as far as you can
and grasp the tart vert fruit

you have danced well
drunk sap by the gobletful
now it is time for sleep
where dreams entice you to the underworld

you pull it to yourself
no birds shall get your snack
you bite
it tastes good.
